Job summary

WeSupport Incorporated seeks an experienced Java Developer in Metro Manila to drive service improvements, analyze business processes, and deliver robust Java applications. You will design, code, test, and implement solutions, and communicate with end users to clarify change requests.

The role requires 5+ years in Java, expert knowledge of Java 8/17, Spring, JSF/JSP, and MySQL, plus Tomcat, Maven/Ant, and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or College degree in IT/Comp Eng or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Java Developer with application analysis and troubleshooting.
• Expert in Java (8 & 17), C#, .NET, with Full Stack Development and API Integration.
• Experience with Rest API, Spring Boot and Legacy Spring Framework, JSF / JSP
• MySQL database experience
• Tomcat 10.1
• Maven and Ant
• Azure DevOps, TFS, Agile Scrum, Git Flow
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent coding, debugging, testing and prototyping
• Should be okay for shifting schedule

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze business processes and provide inputs to enhance or improve and clarify change request requirements
• Evaluate change requests to determine feasibility, time required, compatibility and dependencies with current systems
• Consult with Immediate Superior or directly communicate with end users to clarify change request requirements
• Convert change request requirements into sequence of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding, applying knowledge of computer programming techniques and languages
• Code computer programs following standard coding procedures and perform unit testing
• Manage customer relationships and maintain high quality service ensuring customer satisfaction
• Assist users to resolve major and complex problems in running computer programs
• Assist in knowledge transfer during project turn-over
• Proactively provide updates to customers on progress of initiatives
• Maintain and update daily monitoring of service deliverables

About the role

Provides continuous service improvements to eliminate or prevent incidents or problems and improve service quality for end customers. Develops and builds systems on the Java platform using cutting-edge techniques, tools, and utilities with excellent skills in design and coding. Leads projects in defining tasks, project deliverables and schedules of assigned resources. Can directly communicate with end customers for support requirements.
