Job summary

Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and manufacturing processes meet established quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations. This role leads quality improvement initiatives, investigates quality issues, drives corrective and preventive actions, supports audits, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality, process capability, and customer satisfaction.

Quality Assurance & Control
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, inspection plans, and quality procedures.
  • Monitor manufacturing and operational processes to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Review product specifications, drawings, and customer requirements to establish quality criteria.
  • Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities.
Problem Solving & Corrective Actions
  • Lead investigations into quality issues, customer complaints, and nonconforming products.
  • Conduct root cause analysis using methodologies such as: 8D 5 Why Analysis Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagrams Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
  • Develop, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor effectiveness of corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
Quality Planning & Risk Management
  • Lead or support development of: Process Flow Diagrams PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) Control Plans Inspection Standards Quality Work Instructions.
  • Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure appropriate mitigation measures are implemented.
Customer Quality Management
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for assigned customers.
  • Investigate customer complaints and coordinate timely responses.
  • Prepare and submit corrective action reports.
  • Participate in customer meetings, audits, and quality reviews.
Qualifications
  • Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
  • Experience handling customer quality issues and corrective action processes.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
  • Quality Tools Statistical Process Control (SPC) Measurement System Analysis (MSA) Process Capability Studies (Cp, Cpk) PFMEA and DFMEA Control Plans APQP and PPAP (for automotive industries) CAPA Management Root Cause Analysis

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
