Job summary

Crawco is seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst to analyze data, develop dashboards, and present insights to business owners. You will support Broadspire GBSC management in creating dashboards and scorecards that reflect metric results and guide data-driven decisions.

You will review processes end-to-end, identify risks and opportunities, and collaborate with developers to deliver client-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in a professional environment.
• Has handled data analysis projects.
• Internship or Co-op experience in related field is strongly preferred.
• Lean Certification or any QMS certification.
• Advanced in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Some experience in MS Access preferred.
• Any other programming or database experience preferred.
• Capable of quickly learning new tools as needed and training others in the use of those tools.
• Understanding of the scientific method
• Understanding of statistics preferred
• Ability to articulate complex concepts simply for a non-technical audience.
• At least 5 years of Business Data Analytics experience especially around the use of Power BI, Excel, Dashboards and problem solving skills (background in Lean or Six Sigma)

Responsibilities

• Review assigned business processes end-to-end to identify risks and opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Provide expert understanding of current state business processes to inform recommendations.
• Consolidate data into actionable summaries for stakeholders.
• Analyze data to generate solutions supporting efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in testing reports and define project scope with manager.
• Lead small projects and assist managers on larger projects.
• Collaborate with developers to implement client requirements.
• Gather business requirements for system modifications and implementations.
• Design dashboards and data visualizations to communicate metrics.
• Find opportunities to improve reporting and modify processes accordingly.
• Develop or maintain new/improved processes based on findings.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement all phases of moderately complex reporting and data analysis.
• Chart existing processes to define current activities for modeling.
• Communicate root causes to Broadspire GBSC management to guide product enhancements.
• Work with owners to build account-specific strategies for measurable success.
• Be main point of contact and mentor for junior team members.

Job Description

• Expert understanding of current state of business processes to inform recommendations to quickly solve intricate problems.
• Consolidate data into actionable summaries to ensure stakeholders have the information necessary to make informed business decisions.
• Conduct data analysis to generate business solutions that support efficiency and productivity in providing customer satisfaction.
• Assist in testing reports and work with the manager to define project scope and needs.
• Leading small projects and assisting managers on larger, more complex projects related to operational business functions.
• Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements of the clients need.
• Assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement, and implementations.
• Design dashboards and data visualizations to communicate meaningful metrics and insights.
• Find opportunities for improvement in reporting, modify existing solutions, techniques, or processes to improve our data-driven performance.
• Develops and/or maintains new or improved processes based on findings and analysis.
