The Business Intelligence Analyst is a strong technical professional specializing in Power BI with a focus on driving operational impact. This role is responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end BI solutions, transforming and modeling data, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and identifying trends to support decision-making across operational teams and leadership. The position combines deep analytical rigor with effective presentation skills to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
Design and implement end-to-end BI solutions in Power BI Desktop covering data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and visualization autonomously.
Connect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources (CSV, Excel, SharePoint, databases) using Power Query.
Design and manage relational data models, table relationships, hierarchies, and build DAX measures to calculate complex KPIs.
Develop clean, well-organized, business-oriented visual dashboards tailored for operational teams up to executive leadership.
Continuously monitor operational KPIs, detect positive or negative trends, and issue proactive alerts when significant deviations occur.
Present structured analytical results and insights to clients and leadership, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.
Challenge and validate business requirements prior to solution development to ensure the core decision-making need is truly addressed.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather requirements, understand operational needs, and ensure data consistency and accuracy.
Technical degree, technologist, or professional degree in Systems Engineering, Data, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields.
1–3 years of hands‑on experience in data analysis, reporting, or Business Intelligence roles.
Demonstrable portfolio or concrete experience developing end-to-end BI solutions in Excel and Power BI.
Fluent English language proficiency (B2 level or higher, both spoken and written) for international team and client collaboration.
Core BI Tools: Power BI (Desktop & Service), DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Power Query (M), Data Modeling (Star Schemas).
Spreadsheets & Workflow Automation: Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, complex formulas), SharePoint (Lists, advanced fields, forms), Power Automate.
Database & Querying (Nice to Have): SQL (Intermediate to advanced queries, table joins, data validation).
Advanced Tech & Cloud (Nice to Have): Python or TypeScript, Power Apps, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Data Lakehouse environments.

Effective Communication: Clear, structured presentation skills to convey complex analytical findings to both technical and executive audiences.
