Job Description
The Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing a small analytic team and will be a key owner of analytic projects that have a direct impact on improving the business. This position emphasizes understanding the context, strategy, and processes of our and our clients’ organizations. The Analyst partners closely with business units to gain in-depth insights into customer needs, services, and the overall business roadmap. This role requires resourcefulness, flexibility with data approaches and methodologies, tenacity, and collaboration across various organizational functions. The Analyst must be capable of processing or transforming raw information into manageable data or generating data from calls, chat logs, and other sources when needed. The Analyst is expected to proactively assess the program to identify projects that enhance operations and finances and to focus on driving results across multiple areas, such as applying process improvement principles to streamline workflows and creating solutions for identified revenue opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a small analytic team and serve as a key owner of analytic projects that directly impact business improvement.
- Partner closely with business units to gain in-depth insights into customer needs, services, and overall business roadmap.
- Apply resourcefulness, flexibility with data approaches, and methodologies, tenacity, and collaboration across functions.
- Process or transform raw information into manageable data or generate data from calls, chat logs, etc.
- Proactively assess the program to identify projects that enhance operations and finances.
- Drive results across multiple areas, such as applying process improvement principles to streamline workflows and creating solutions for identified revenue opportunities.
- Strategic insight: work with internal and client units to understand business strategies, processes, and services; understand business environment, trends, competitive landscape, and internal dynamics; identify opportunities to overcome business challenges based on impact and value; leverage collected insights, business environment intelligence, and data measurement for solution feasibility.
- Process review and improvement: understand, map, and review assigned processes from end to end; identify operational, financial, and technological risks and provide quantified mitigation strategies; foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage innovative solutions.
- Analytical project management: scope and manage analytical projects, including timeline creation and documentation; work with operations and clients to understand business problems; conduct data analysis and present actionable recommendations; implement and track impact of recommendations.
- Communication and relationship management: keep stakeholders informed; manage clients’ needs; align tasks to appropriate departments; showcase project gains and provide progress updates; advise of potential showstoppers; present analysis to all levels of the organization including executives.
- Data-driven decision making: develop, set up, and manage coherent reports that support action plans; ensure data reliability and validity; leverage data reporting to gain business insight and operationalize opportunities identified; employ statistical analysis for trend validity when necessary.
- Teamwork and accountability: ensure client wins by initiating improvements and owning the business; coordinate with team members and peers to implement solutions; hold self accountable by following through on initiatives and outcomes.
- Call-related tasks: listen to live and recorded calls to generate data and spot improvement opportunities; assess customer emotions and satisfaction through sentiment analysis; identify hindrances to issue resolution and ensure process compliance on customer interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a four‑year college or university with two to four years of related experience.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use descriptive statistics and predictive analytics methods to translate data into business insights.
- Ability to work in an environment with activities and deliverables dependent on a diverse group of technical and business experts.
- Ability to adjust and adapt to constantly changing business needs and priorities.
- Verifiable skill in following through with project or solution implementation; adept at leading implementation from opportunity identification to ROI follow‑through.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on promoting analysis and proposing solutions.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently without direction or supervision for extended periods.
- Advanced or expert skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated ability in creative problem‑solving and innovative solution development.
- Willingness to align to a North American work schedule.
- Willingness to work onsite fully or as needed on client, account, or business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Python, SQL, Databricks, and similar applications.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and technologies.
- Experience using AI tools to create solutions.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.
