Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an Exception Management professional to monitor and approve pricing deviations and drive improvements in efficiency and outcomes across all product and service lines.

You will apply price sensitivity analytics, pricing processes knowledge, and data-driven problem solving to optimize profitability. The role supports internal and external stakeholders and works on moderately complex projects in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year in current role; internal B4, P1 or P2 level.
• Intermediate Excel skills required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of pricing processes.
• Analytical and data-oriented mindset.

What Exception Management Contributes To Cardinal Health

Revenue Management is responsible for developing, communicating, and leading the execution of market strategy and profitability optimization through pricing and value-capture activities at both the strategic and tactical levels. The group uses modeling, analytics, and econometrics to create pricing strategies for our products and services.

Exception Management monitors and approves (either directly or via a formal governance process depending on specifics) any pre- or post-deal deviation from standard pricing across all product and service lines, as well as driving overall improvement in the speed, efficiency, and efficacy of exception management processes. The job family also uses price sensitivity and other key analytics to drive to optimize pricing outcomes for the business.

Qualifications

Internal

• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Minimum 1 year in current role
• Currently B4, P1 or P2
• Minimum of 3.0 / Meets rating in last Performance Review
• Intermediate Excel skills Required
• With prior process improvements projects/initiatives, preferred
• Demonstrates knowledge of pricing processes
• Analytical and Data-oriented

External

• 2-4 years of experience, preferred
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
