Finance SSC – Business Controlling & Reporting
The Finance Shared Services Center (SSC) supports Vestas’ value chain by delivering reliable, scalable financial controlling and reporting. The team provides insights to improve performance, ensures accurate and timely periodic reporting and works closely with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders to make data‑driven decisions.
Responsibilities
- Execute complex month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end finance and accounting closing activities in full compliance with group accounting policies, controls and performance targets.
- Prepare and review complex financial reports and analyses, using advanced technical and financial knowledge.
- Ensure accuracy of project‑related postings and settlement of project costs to inventory.
- Prepare and review standards, respond to ad hoc requests for analytics and support profitability analysis, case preparation and financial performance investigations.
- Reconcile local financial statements with IFRS standards, ensuring alignment with company and regulatory compliance policies.
- Collaborate closely with SSC teams and Global Development to ensure accurate, compliant financial data and operations; coordinate with external consultants for regulatory compliance.
- Assess major changes in process and operational scopes that require cross‑function assessment and provide sign‑off to close SPV entities during closing periods.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying, designing and maintaining efficient, standardised reporting and control processes.
- Review, enhance and maintain quality documentation, including process flows, methodologies and SOPs, ensuring auditability and knowledge continuity.
- Provide functional guidance and informal coaching to analysts, supporting capability building and team effectiveness.
- Serve as a subject‑matter resource within the team for assigned topics, systems or processes, contributing to best practices and consistent application across regions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field; professional certifications (CPA, CMA, CIA, etc.) are beneficial.
- 4‑6 years of relevant experience in finance, particularly business controlling, financial analysis or equivalent functions.
- Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written, with the ability to convey insights to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ERP systems; experience in SAP is advantageous.
- Adept at analytical tasks such as variance analysis and basic insight formulation; curiosity for continuous improvement.
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships and reporting insights derived from analysis.
- Flexible with work‑shift schedules and willing to extend hours during month‑end close as needed.
- Experience in a shared‑service environment is beneficial.
- Successful in complex, demanding environments and demonstrates initiative with a professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, project accounting, revenue & cost controlling, and reporting insights is desired.
- Specific experience in group tax, consolidation, product costing or similar areas is a plus.

- Solid finance and accounting knowledge with experience in complex data analysis, reconciliations and month‑end close.
- In‑depth knowledge of accounting estimates, revenue recognition principles (CCM, POC) and the ability to explain impacts to stakeholders.
- Capability to perform and explain variance analysis, budget/forecast assessment and forward‑looking financial insights.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, root‑cause analysis and ability to resolve issues independently.
- Business‑partnering mindset with a focus on translating financial data into actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency with SAP ERP and advanced Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint, including macros or automation.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy.
- Experience in documentation and process mapping, designing and improving end‑to‑end reporting and control processes.
- Excellent communication in English, engaging and challenging stakeholders professionally.
- Ownership, accountability and continuous improvement orientation, managing workload peaks and tight deadlines.
- Collaborative and professional team contributor supporting development while maintaining high delivery standards.
