About the Role

We are seeking a Sports Trader to join a team of self‑organised traders. In this role you will perform pre‑match and live trading for a large portfolio of sports across our global markets.

Responsibilities

• Compile odds for a variety of desk specific markets
• Monitor real‑time sports events and results
• Build on existing knowledge of the industry’s policies, systems and procedures
• Perform analysis of market trends and observe competitors
• Perform customer analysis and monitor bet limits
• Manage pre‑match and live sports trading
• Manage database and sportsbook related escalations
• Update databases that assist with trading and compilation
• Cover trading responsibilities on other desks as required

Qualifications

• Demonstrable passion for sports
• Experience in pre‑match and live trading
• Experience with sports trading systems / tools
• Experience with risk management and betting patterns
• Familiarity with industry market trends
• Knowledge of the industry’s key policies, systems and procedures
• Flexibility to work on shift patterns that include weekends and bank holidays, and may also include early, evening, and night working hours
• Clear, confident communication in both English and Spanish (written and verbal), and ability to break down complex ideas
• Collaborative mindset, working smoothly with cross‑functional teams to hit shared goals
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects without dropping the ball
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work
• Adaptability – staying sharp, productive and positive in fast‑moving environments

Desired Skills

• In‑depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
• Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
• Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
• Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
• Ability to adapt to new structures, processes and procedures
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the business
• Understanding of operational aspects of the business
• Understanding of market trends and learning opportunities

• Competent level of analytical and technical knowledge
