Job summary

A technology service provider in the Philippines is seeking a skilled Splunk Administrator to manage and monitor their Splunk environment. Job description

• · Administer and monitor Splunkenvironment across all environments
• · At least (3) years working withdistributed systems in a production Windows environment
• · Experience using or supportingcentralized logging infrastructure -Splunk
• · Plan, deploy and documentarchitecture components, monitoring & alerting setup, troubleshootingguides.
• · Onboarding new data as well asnew customers to Splunk. Work with new customers to ensure they are getting themost out of the data and help design new applications for their specific use.
• · Test new versions andcomponents in QA environment for promotion into Production.
• · Mentoring other engineerswithin the organization on the capabilities and technical knowledge of theSplunk environment.

Requirements

• · Bachelor’s degree in IT orsimilar
• · At least (3) years Splunkexperience building dashboards and performing analytical searches within theSplunk application.
• · Experience with virtualtechnology, such as VMWare ESX. Experience with OS environment running one ormore databases including SQL or Oracle desirable.
• · Working knowledge andexperience with key ITIL processes is required.
• · Previous applicationdevelopment coding, debugging, testing and delivery into a productionenvironment are highly desirable.
• · A solid understanding ofcompute performance metrics and tools is highly desirable
• · At least three (3) years ofhands-on experience in IT systems administration on Windows.
• · Requires proficiency in use ofdesktop based productivity applications, networking and open systems standards.
• · Requires analytical and designability, high degree of creativity; knowledge of the business implications oftechnical approaches, directions and solutions
