Job summary

Dover Business Services (DBS) is an independent business unit serving Dover Corporation. DBS provides transactional services in Accounting and Finance from locations including the Philippines, China and Romania. The role focuses on international indirect taxation, data accuracy and tax technology support.

The ideal candidate will handle tax reporting data, support process improvements and maintain tax automation tools in a fast-paced SSC environment in the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in Taxation or related field.
• Working knowledge in International Indirect Taxation (Sales +VAT) is an advantage.
• Experience with emerging tax technologies and tax software.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and validates data for tax-related financial and reporting requirements.
• Lead or assist tax process improvement projects including automation.
• Collaborate with accounts receivable/payable to align processes.
• Report progress of projects and other concerns to stakeholders.
• Evaluate and maintain tax technologies and tooling.
• Develop and deliver end-user training and maintain documentation.

Essential Responsibilities

• Analyzes, reviews, interprets and validates the data supplied by the Business Unit and/or Financial Systems for the tax relevant financial, internal and external reporting requirements
• Lead/assist with tax process improvements projects, which may include software implementation, automation, or workpaper improvement and ongoing continuous process improvement.
• Identify or recommend process improvements and collaborate with other functions to align processes as necessary (i.e. with accounts receivable or accounts payable team)
• Report to stakeholders on the progress of projects and other concerns
• Assist in evaluating, implementing and maintaining emerging tax technologies
• Help develop and deliver end user training and maintain user documentation of all trainings in latest technologies
• Maintain tax automation and reporting tools
• Maintain productivity and meet service level agreements in a complex environment, including working with and referencing data in taxation systems
• Interact with stakeholders, customers, suppliers and internal teams in a courteous and responsible manner, to resolve issues, concerns and provide updates on projects
• Interact with taxing authorities to gather information necessary for tax compliance requirements and other concerns
• Assist with other projects or duties as assigned, including continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Taxation or related field
• Working knowledge in International Indirect Taxation (Sales +VAT) is an advantage
• Previous experience in maintaining emerging tax technologies, troubleshooting tax technology problems and composition of tax written advice
• Proficient computer skills including excellent Microsoft Excel experience (SharePoint a plus)
