Job summary

RCBC Bankard Services Corporation in Metro Manila is seeking a Data Center Operations Associate to assist in operating and monitoring data center systems and programs.

The role requires analytical problem-solving, strong communication, and solid knowledge of software and hardware aspects of computer systems; you will execute batch jobs, manage daily schedules, prepare reports, and maintain inventory of supplies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of software and hardware aspects of computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating and monitoring data center systems and programs.
• Perform routine tasks defined in the data center run sheet.
• Execute processes and batch jobs completely and accurately.
• Manage daily production schedule and handle user requests.
• Communicate data center processes and batch completions; route questions to other units.
• Analyze and resolve hardware/software problems and operational discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit data center reports.
• Maintain supplies inventory and place orders for supplies.

Job description

Job Purpose:

• Assists in operating and monitoring systems and programs.

• Performs routine tasks defined in the data center run sheet.

• Executes processes and batch jobs completely and accurately.

• Executes daily production schedule defined in the data center run sheet and handles user requests.

• Manages computer resources efficiently to provide maximum throughput and adequate system response.

• Communicates data center processes and batch job completion regularly and helps resolves issues by routing user questions to other business units as appropriate.

• Assists in analyzing and resolving hardware/software problems such as operational discrepancies, job aborts, and network issues.

• Prepares and submits required Data Center reports to the Associate, Data Center Operations.

• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science is preferred or equivalent relevant work experience

• With an ability to reason analytically and solve problems

• Excellent skill in communicating verbally and in writing

• Strong knowledge of both the software and hardware aspects of computer systems
