Join our team as a Spanish Home Lending Assistant I in Home Lending, where you will work with Home Lending Advisors to provide outstanding customer support throughout the loan process and enhance the experience for home buyers and homeowners. Your strong interpersonal skills and dedication will help streamline the loan process for both internal and external customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver best‑in‑class customer service throughout the process, for both inbound and outbound calls.
- Communicate updates to Home Lending Advisor(s) on pipeline status and update customers and third parties related to the transactions; prioritize daily tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Contact customers to discuss loan terms and ensure understanding; arrange proposed loan signing times at the request of, or in the absence of, the Home Lending Advisor(s).
- Update the system of record and maintain accurate communication logs to ensure a smooth downstream process for the customer.
- Follow up on aged leads and aged pipeline loans, request missing documents, and communicate with customers. Address all issues and concerns raised by the customer and involve the Home Lending Advisor(s) when appropriate.
- Act as a liaison between Home Lending Advisor(s), branch, processing center (if applicable), and groups of realtors and builders to coordinate submissions and closings, allowing Home Lending Advisor(s) to focus on generating new business.
- Coordinate and manage marketing through internal systems.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Fluent in Spanish and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Effectively utilizes all tools such as priority reports, call reviews, and loan origination systems in performing tasks and addressing concerns.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills; able to propose solutions and utilize all available resources, when needed (Mortgage Banking Guide Team, Service Level Agreements, etc.).
- Effectively prioritizes workload with the ability to multi‑task.
- Amenable to working onsite in BGC and following U.S. time.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of voice customer‑service‑oriented experience in the call‑center industry; blended‑account (voice and non‑voice) experience in mortgage, upselling, or collections is a plus.
- For internal candidates, minimum of 2 years of voice customer‑service‑oriented experience in the call‑center industry; preferably with a mortgage background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely while being aware of the audience. Exposure to high‑touch clients is an advantage.
Unique Requirements
- This position is subject to Dodd‑Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent upon JPMC’s review of criminal conviction history, credit reports, NMLS information, and any other data relevant to demonstrating financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Any felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies a candidate.
- The position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment with JPMorgan Chase, you must register on NMLS or update your existing registration to reflect employment with JPMorgan Chase. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including timely renewal and required updates.
- A valid driver’s license or passport and an NBI clearance valid for at least six months from the initial interview date are required. Candidates will also undergo a screening process and fingerprinting.
