Job summary

NCS Philippines in Metro Manila is seeking a seasoned solutions architect with strong BSS/Telco experience and hands-on cloud (AWS) and on-premise expertise. The role requires API/middleware integration experience and a background as a designer/developer to drive architecture and delivery across the solution stack.

The responsibility set includes creating blueprints, solution plans, and deployment strategies, with leadership across cross-functional teams to ensure secure and scalable

Qualifications

• Senior profile with BSS/Telco background and extensive SA/IT experience.
• Mid-level candidates may apply with 3 years actual SA experience.
• Hands-on experience in cloud (AWS) and on-premise environments.
• AWS experience must be from actual working experience, not academic.
• Experience in API and middleware integration and migration.
• Proven experience as a Designer/Developer.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level and low-level solution architecture blueprints for the operating model group.
• Create the Solution Plan covering application architecture, integration architecture, data architecture, and an impact assessment.
• Perform technical assessment to estimate effort, resources, timeline, and cost.
• Create high-level and low-level designs aligned with architecture blueprint.
• Create LLD and reuse assets for CLIENT’s Centers for Enablement (C4E).
• Co-design with cross-functional teams for user-centric UI/UX.
• Collaborate with Technical Program Manager and Tech Leads on timelines, tests, risks, and mitigations.
• Evaluate problems and alternatives, recommend the best option for CLIENT priorities.
• Develop architectures aligned with principles, security and delivery standards.
• Provide technical leadership and escalation support to delivery teams.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce complexity and improve velocity.
• Mentor teams on architectural guidance and practices.
• Create deployment and migration plans and track risks.
• Create Integration Architecture Diagrams and Interface Contracts inputs.
• Perform Technical Design Walkthroughs and obtain stakeholder sign-off.
• Review Technical Risk Assessments and propose Mitigation Plans.

Responsibilities

• 2.1 Provides high-level and low-level solution architecture blueprints for the assigned operating model group to address business requirements provided by the CLIENT


• 2.2 Creates the Solution Plan document that comprises the application architecture, integration architecture, data architecture, and a detailed impact assessment of affected platforms. The Solution Plan and the impact assessment shall be presented during the Design Forge sessions.


• 2.3 Performs technical assessment to estimate the effort, resource requirement, timeline, and cost required to deliver the proposed solution in a timely manner


• 2.4 Creates high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) aligned with the architecture blueprint for the whole operating model group, as appropriate


• 2.5 Creates low-level design (LLD) and may use reusable assets to be shared by the CLIENTs Centers for Enablement (C4E)


• 2.6 Co-designs with cross-functional teams to develop a user-centric experience (UI/UX) and a solution that addresses user requirements


• 2.7 Collaborates with the assigned Technical Program Manager and other Technology Leads to review the following: how the solution is implemented, timeline of activities, testing approach, risks and issues that may affect project schedule and budget, and recommendations on risk and issues mitigation


• 2.8 Understands problem areas, evaluates and provides pros and cons of alternatives, and recommends within reason the alternative that suits the CLIENT’s priorities


• 2.9 Develops architecture designs that are aligned with the CLIENT’s architecture and design principles, as well as security and delivery standards


• 2.10 Provides technical leadership to the delivery teams and acts as the escalation point for any technical challenges or design-related decisions within the assigned operating model group


• 2.11 Drives continuous improvement / continuous development by identifying opportunities to enhance reusability, reduce complexity, and improve delivery velocity across the solution landscape


• 2.12 Mentors, supports and provides enablement to the development teams in the interpretation and implementation of architectural guidance, ensuring shared understanding and adherence to design principles


• 2.13 Creates the deployment and migration plan for the solution, and is responsible for tracking and addressing technical issues and risks identified throughout the design and delivery phases


• 2.14 Creates Integration Architecture Diagrams and provides inputs to Interface Contracts for complex inter-system interactions


• 2.15 Performs Technical Design Walkthroughs or Reviews, and presents to stakeholders for sign-off


• 2.16 Review Technical Risk Assessments and provides Mitigation Plans for critical solution areas
