Job summary

Capgemini seeks an experienced Senior Cards Architect to define, own, and govern end-to-end solution architecture for cards transformation programs. You will lead architecture across issuing cores, integrations, channels, and retained systems, ensuring schemes, PCI-DSS, and regulatory alignment.

The role requires deep cards domain expertise, extensive experience with multi-vendor and API-led environments, and a track record of large-scale migration or modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• 15–20+ years of experience in banking technology with strong focus on Cards Issuing architectures.
• Proven experience designing and governing solutions in large-scale Cards platform migration or modernization programs.
• Strong exposure to multi-vendor, API-led, and integration-heavy environments.

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and govern end-to-end solution architecture for Cards transformation initiatives.
• Own the overall Cards solution architecture across issuing core, integrations, channels, and retained systems.
• Define architectural principles, patterns, and target-state designs aligned to bank standards and transformation roadmap.
• Review and approve HLDs/LLDs; ensure consistency across workstreams.
• Design and govern interfaces, APIs, and integration touchpoints with internal systems, schemes, fintechs, and third parties.
• Ensure non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, resiliency) are addressed in solution design.
• Provide architectural guidance during development, testing, certification, and cutover phases.
• Apply deep Cards domain expertise across authorization, clearing, settlement, billing, disputes, fraud, and tokenization.
• Ensure solution compliance with scheme mandates, PCI-DSS, and regulatory requirements.
• Support scheme certification readiness through design validation and technical assurance.
• Partner with Delivery/Workstream Managers, BAs, and technical teams to resolve design gaps and complex issues.
• Conduct design walkthroughs, architecture reviews, and impact assessments for changes.

Your Role

• Define, own, and govern the end-to-end solution architecture for Cards transformation initiatives, ensuring a scalable, secure, and scheme-compliant design across core Cards platforms, integrations, and digital channels. Bridge business requirements and delivery execution by providing clear architectural direction and design assurance.
• Own the overall Cards solution architecture across issuing core, integrations, channels, and retained systems.
• Define architectural principles, patterns, and target-state designs aligned to bank standards and transformation roadmap.
• Review and approve HLDs/LLDs; ensure consistency across workstreams.

Integration & Technical Governance

• Design and govern interfaces, APIs, and integration touchpoints with internal systems, schemes, fintechs, and third parties.
• Ensure non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, resiliency) are addressed in solution design.
• Provide architectural guidance during development, testing, certification, and cutover phases.

Cards Domain & Scheme Alignment

Your Profile
