Job summary

Alibaba Cloud is seeking a solutions architect in the Philippines to lead technical pre-sales, translate business needs into robust cloud/AI architectures, and drive adoption across enterprise accounts. You will design PoCs, deliver demos, and respond to RFPs, while shaping regional roadmaps with feedback to product teams.

You will build trusted relationships with CTOs and heads of engineering, collaborating with sales and partners to uncover opportunities and accelerate wins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
• 3+ years in solutions architecture, cloud consulting or pre-sales.
• Hands-on with at least one major public cloud platform and core services.
• Experience delivering AI/ML or generative-AI solutions and pipelines.
• Strong understanding of the Philippine enterprise IT market and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor to enterprise customers and partners across the Philippines.
• Lead end-to-end pre-sales engagements including workshops, design, PoC planning, demos, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Drive adoption of Alibaba Cloud core IaaS, PaaS and AI/ML services with tailored value propositions.
• Build trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders and heads of engineering.
• Collaborate with sales, product and partner teams to identify opportunities and remove blockers.
• Develop reference architectures and reusable solution assets for the Philippines market.
• Represent Alibaba Cloud at local events and customer forums as a technical thought leader.
• Provide feedback to product/engineering on regional requirements and roadmap priorities.

Job description

• Serve as the primary technical advisor to enterprise customers and partners across the Philippines, translating business requirements into robust, cost-optimized cloud and AI architectures on Alibaba Cloud.
• Lead end-to-end pre-sales engagements including discovery workshops, solution design, proof-of-concept planning, technical demonstrations, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Drive adoption of Alibaba Cloud's core IaaS, PaaS, and AI/ML services (including Qwen large language models, PAI, and generative-AI solutions) by articulating differentiated value propositions tailored to local market needs.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level technical stakeholders, CTOs, and heads of engineering at key accounts and strategic partners.
• Collaborate closely with the sales, product, and partner ecosystems teams to identify new opportunities, remove technical blockers, and accelerate deal closure.
• Develop reference architectures, best-practice guides, and reusable solution assets for the Philippines market.
• Represent Alibaba Cloud at local industry events, seminars, and customer forums as a technical thought leader.
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams on regional requirements, competitive intelligence, and feature gaps to inform roadmap priorities.

Required

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in solutions architecture, cloud consulting, or technical pre-sales within the IT or cloud services industry.
• Deep hands-on expertise with at least one major public cloud platform (Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) including core services in compute, networking, storage, security, and database.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering AI/ML or generative-AI solutions- including model deployment, vector databases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, or MLOps platforms.
• Strong understanding of the Philippines enterprise IT market, regulatory landscape (e.g., NPC data-privacy requirements, DICT policies), and key industry verticals such as BFSI, telecom, retail, and government.
• Proven ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-suite executives.
• Native Filipino/Tagalog, Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a strong plus.

Preferred

• Prior experience working at a competitor cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), a top-tier systems integrator (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, local SI leaders), or as an Alibaba Cloud partner/reseller in the Philippines or broader Southeast Asia.
• Existing network of relationships with Philippine enterprise customers, channel partners, ISVs, or government agencies.
• Professional cloud certifications such as Alibaba Cloud ACA/ACP/ACE, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.
