Job summary

PeoplePartners is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks) to join a US-based client and turn ideas into accurate 3D models and production-ready drawings. You’ll assess fit, tolerances, materials, and manufacturability, ensuring designs meet engineering requirements.

Initially 60-day remote contract with CST night shift, with strong potential to transition to permanent onsite in Eastwood, Quezon City.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical design or related engineering experience.
• Strong SolidWorks experience.
• Experience creating detailed 3D CAD models.
• Experience producing engineering and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of dimensions and tolerances.
• Understanding of manufacturing specifications.
• Experience revising CAD models/drawings.
• Experience with reverse engineering.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret design intent and requirements.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models using SolidWorks.
• Produce production-ready engineering and technical drawings.
• Apply dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing specs.
• Revise existing CAD models and drawings.
• Maintain design revisions and documentation.
• Reverse engineer products from sketches and samples.
• Develop alternative design concepts and improvements.
• Perform mass calculations and basic engineering assessments.
• Review assemblies for fit, function, and manufacturability.
• Identify potential design and manufacturing issues.
• Support multiple projects and meet deadlines.
