Job summary

ConnectOS in Metro Manila is seeking a QA Tester to help build robust web applications. You will create test plans, write basic automated tests with Playwright or Cypress, and perform functional and exploratory testing.

You will log defects clearly, coordinate with stakeholders, and participate in release sign-off. The role requires 2+ years in QA with API testing and SQL basics, and a willingness to grow in CI environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software testing or QA, ideally on web applications.
• Hands-on experience writing basic automated tests with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
• Basic JavaScript/TypeScript for test scripts.
• Strong test case design and exploratory testing skills.
• Clear defect reporting using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with API testing (Postman) and SQL basics.
• Attention to detail and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans and test cases for new features and changes.
• Write and maintain basic automated tests for key user flows.
• Build an automated regression suite and run it as part of releases.
• Perform functional and exploratory testing on web applications.
• Log defects clearly and follow them through to resolution.
• Test APIs with Postman and validate data with SQL.
• Coordinate UAT with business stakeholders and sign off releases.
• Help define the QA process and release checklist.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (07:00 AM - 04:00 PM PHT) (Hybrid/Flexi)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required:

• 2+ years of experience in software testing or QA, ideally on web applications.
• Hands-on experience writing basic automated tests with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
• Basic JavaScript/TypeScript (or another scripting language) for writing test scripts.
• Strong test case design and exploratory testing skills.
• Clear, structured defect reporting using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with API testing (Postman or similar) and working knowledge of SQL.
