Job summary

ConnectOS is seeking a QA engineer to strengthen its testing practice in the Philippines. You will design and implement automated tests, contribute to test strategy, and help shift-left initiatives across UI and API testing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across time zones, drive metrics, and support continuous improvement through observability and AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated tests with UI and API testing.
• Ability to design and implement test strategies, quality gates, and shift-left practices.
• Experience with API testing (Postman) and database testing (SQL).
• Defect analysis and debugging using JIRA for defect management.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
• Knowledge of observability metrics and telemetry for decision making.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools for design and automation.
• Strong communication skills to report quality status, risks, and blockers across time zones.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Test Automation:Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated tests, preferably using tools likePlaywrightorSeleniumfor UI, andPostmanfor API testing.
• Quality Strategy:Ability to design and implement test strategies, quality gates, and "shift-left" practices (e.g., contributing to test strategy and Definitions of Done).
• API & Database Testing:Practical experience with API testing (Postman) and database testing (SQL).
• Defect Management:Proficient in debugging, defect analysis, and using tools likeJIRAfor defect management.
• CI/CD & Pipelines:Understanding of quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.
