Job summary

ConnectOS is looking for a QA engineer to strengthen our software testing discipline in the Philippines. You will drive automation, design quality gates, and align testing across UI, API, and databases.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automated UI tests using Playwright or Selenium.

Job description

• Test Automation: Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated tests, preferably using tools like Playwright or Selenium for UI, and Postman for API testing.
• Quality Strategy: Ability to design and implement test strategies, quality gates, and "shift-left" practices (e.g., contributing to test strategy and Definitions of Done).
• API & Database Testing: Practical experience with API testing (Postman) and database testing (SQL).
• Defect Management: Proficient in debugging, defect analysis, and using tools like JIRA for defect management.
• CI/CD & Pipelines: Understanding of quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.
• Observability: Understanding of how quality metrics and telemetry are used to inform decisions.
• AI-Assisted Testing: Responsible use of approved AI tools for test design and automation.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills to articulate quality status, risks, and blockers across time zones and to stakeholders.
