Job summary

Whitecloak in the Philippines seeks an API Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices that power front-end apps. You will integrate backend systems with front-ends and deploy through an API gateway in an Agile team.

The role requires RESTful/SOAP API experience, JavaScript/NodeJS, NestJS, Docker, and API security. You will author documentation and provide L3 production support. Collaboration with peers and architecture discussions are encouraged.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of API development experience.
• Experience with IBM API Connect or equivalent API gateway.
• RESTful and SOAP API development experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript/NodeJS and the NestJS framework.
• SQL/NoSQL querying experience.
• API security experience (rate limiting, JWT, OAuth, API keys).
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with GitLab repositories.
• Experience with Linux CLI.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to support production issues as L3.
• Adherence to Agile methodologies.

The position supports end-to-end delivery across the software development life cycle, deploying solutions through an API gateway platform and collaborating within an agile team. The developer will also provide L3 support for production issues and contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer to support peers and teams.
