CHAMP Cargosystems Philippines, Inc. is seeking a mid Software Engineer to join our innovation team in Manila. You will translate design specs into robust Java backend code, collaborate with product owners and QA, and contribute to AI-powered document processing initiatives.

The role emphasizes clean, maintainable code, problem solving, and adapting to evolving technologies. Travel to Luxembourg, London, Singapore may be required depending on workload.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/CE or equivalent.
3 years' Java & object-oriented programming experience with SQL skills.
Experience with design patterns.
Experience in SCRUM is a plus.
Knowledge of AI and LLMs is a plus.
Knowledge of Python is a plus.
Containerization is a plus.
Strong command of English.

Responsibilities

Translate design specifications into program codes; enforce the Company’s software engineering standards.
Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications.
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.
Collaborate with product owners, QAs and other software engineers.
Mobility: may travel abroad to work at other company sites.
