Job summary

AMCS Group is seeking a Software Engineer to help build the next generation of SaaS products. You will design, develop, test, and support AI-powered solutions, delivering scalable features and APIs as part of a small, autonomous delivery team.

You’ll work with modern engineering practices, cloud technologies, and AI tools to create software that enables organisations worldwide to operate more efficiently and sustainably.

Qualifications

• Experience building and delivering production software
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and frontend frameworks (Angular/React/Vue)
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills
• Experience building and consuming APIs and services
• Cloud platforms and container-based deployments
• Git and CI/CD pipelines familiarity
• Solid software testing practices (unit/integration)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver SaaS features across the full tech stack
• Develop APIs, front-end apps, and data models
• Build AI-powered agents integrated with the AMCS Platform
• Write clean, tested code and participate in reviews
• Work in CI/CD pipelines to ship software safely
• Collaborate with PMs, QA, and platform teams
• Mentor less experienced engineers where appropriate
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decisions

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Engineering team and help build the next generation of AMCS products.

In this role, you will design, develop, test, and support both SaaS applications and AI-powered solutions. Working as part of a small, autonomous delivery team, you'll contribute across the full software development lifecycle, building scalable features, APIs, user experiences, and AI agents that deliver real value to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver SaaS product features across the full technology stack.
• Develop services, APIs, front-end applications, and supporting data models.
• Build AI agents that integrate with the AMCS Platform and AI framework.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues using logs, metrics, diagnostics, and AI‑assisted tooling.
• Work within CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and release software safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Quality Engineers, and platform teams.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
• Support and mentor less experienced engineers where appropriate.

Building, Testing and Delivering with AI

• Use AI coding assistants and agentic development tools as part of your day‑to‑day workflow.
• Direct autonomous and semi‑autonomous coding agents on clearly defined development tasks.
• Use AI‑assisted testing to improve quality, coverage, and delivery speed.
• Review and validate AI‑generated code and tests to ensure they meet engineering standards.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and share effective practices with the wider team.

Skills and Experience

Technical Skills

• Experience building and delivering production software applications.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern backend language and framework, such as C#/.NET.
• Experience with modern front‑end technologies such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Good understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modelling.
• Experience building and consuming APIs and services.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and container‑based deployments.
• Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software testing practices including unit, integration, and automated testing.

AI and Platform Experience

• Experience integrating applications with platforms, frameworks, or extensibility models.
• Understanding of AI agents, assistants, and modern AI application patterns.
• Hands‑on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar tools.
• Experience using AI to accelerate development, testing, code reviews, or documentation.
