Job summary

AMCS is seeking a senior software developer to join our environmental software team. You will develop, enhance, and maintain our cloud-based SaaS products using .NET, Asp.Net Web API, REST, and C#. You’ll contribute to design, testing, and agile delivery.

You will work with Postgres and Azure SQL, apply OO design, and gain familiarity with Kubernetes. The role requires 5-10 years in IT and strong communication in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work, 25 days leave, and healthcare are offered.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of IT experience in software development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers, colleagues and third parties.
• High energy and drive; able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Enthusiasm for software development and user interface design.
• Interest in open-source tech is a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Developing, enhancing, and maintaining our environmental software products in accordance with agreed requirements and designs, including:
• Member of a team of software developers using latest versions of Microsoft .Net
• Contributing to the specification, development, and test of software solutions to defined standards.
• Delivery of software development projects both as stand-alone and as a team member of internal agile and outsourced development teams.
• Develop and deliver project updates to senior management.
• Skills and Competencies
• Strong technical knowledge of Web Technologies such as .NET, Asp.NetWeb API, REST
• Understanding Relational Databases (we use Postgres and Azure SQL, but any other experience would do)
• Strong experience with latest C#
• Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and Development
• Familiar with security mechanisms including web and web service security and their implementations.
• Experience in writing Unit test cases
• Understanding Kubernetes basics

What You Bring

• 5-10 years’ experience in an Information Technology environment, specialising in Software Development, would be a distinct advantage.
• Good communication and personal skills, able to communicate clearly, effectively, and form effective working relationships with customers, colleagues, suppliers and third parties.
• High levels of drive and energy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Enthusiasm and general interest in Software Development.
• A passion for user interface
• Commitment to on-going personal development

Nice to have

• Passion for the Open-Source technology
• Front end skills: Typescript and Angular, or Blazor
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Development or equivalent.
