Job summary

Amadeus in Manila is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build, maintain, and support airline software applications across web and mobile SDKs within the Navitaire platform. You will code, test, release, troubleshoot, and collaborate with the scrum team to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a technical field, 2+ years of professional C#, .NET, and SQL experience, and agile work experience.

Qualifications

• BS in a technical field is required or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional programming in C#, .NET, and SQL.
• 1+ year SME or production support experience on enterprise systems.
• 1+ year of agile experience in a team setting.
• Airline industry knowledge is beneficial.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Job Title

Software Development Engineer

Purpose of the role

Develop, maintain, and support efficient, reliable, and maintainable airline software applications.

The Software Development Engineer will be responsible for coding, testing, releasing, supporting, and troubleshooting solutions based off the Web and/or Mobile App Software Development Kits (SDKs) within the Navitaire Digital Platform and solutions based off the Navitaire Kiosk SDK.

In this role you'll:

• Share knowledge on relevant technologies and adhere to coding and implementation standards
• Collaborate with scrum team on team priorities
• Participate in operational rotation and address production issues promptly
• Keep training materials up to date and support the development of new functional and technical experts on the team
• Develop and enhance own capabilities and demonstrate flexibility to meet goals
• Provide functional expertise on assigned Navitaire airline system or sub-system
• Analyze product backlog items, propose solutions, code, and automate testing of optimized solutions, and conduct peer reviews

About the ideal candidate:

• BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of professional programming experience in C#, .NET, and SQL
• 1+ years recognized as a subject matter expert of enterprise-level systems or sub-systems, working on coding, design, and production support
• 1+ years of experience working in an agile setting
• Airline industry knowledge is beneficial
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

• Nice to have: Mobile app mobile development native (Java, Kotlin, Swift, Objective C, etc.) or cross-platform (React Native, Flutter)
