Job summary

CoDev Philippines is seeking a Software Engineer (Full Stack, Frontend-Leaning) to join our product engineering team. This true full-stack role covers frontend and backend work with a focus on high-quality, accessible interfaces built on a PHP/Laravel API backend and an AngularJS + modern Angular frontend.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in full-stack development, experience with HTML/CSS/JS, and familiarity with E2E testing.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining full-stack web applications.
• Strong frontend experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue.js).
• Backend experience with a mature framework (Laravel, Node.js, Django, Rails).
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with building accessible user interfaces and WCAG basics.
• Exposure to E2E testing with Cypress or Playwright.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Candidate must be open to work from 6pm-3am or 10pm-7am (Mon-Fri).
• Role is Full-Time position.
• This is Remote work

• Work within a hybrid AngularJS and modern Angular codebase and contribute to its continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver user-focused features.
• Write unit and integration tests and contribute to automated testing efforts including End-to-End testing.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot, improve, and refactor existing code to enhance performance, maintainability, and quality.
• Learn from experienced engineers while sharing ideas and contributing to the team.

Our current technology stack includes a PHP/Laravel API backend and a hybrid AngularJS + modern Angular frontend. However, we value strong software engineering fundamentals and transferable experience over exact technology matches.

• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern web development practices.
• Familiarity with building accessible user interfaces, including semantic HTML and basic WCAG concepts.
• Exposure to or interest in End-to-End (E2E) testing using tools such as Cypress or Playwright.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to work across different areas of the application.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and engineering teams.
• Candidate must be open to work from 6pm-3am or 10pm-7am (Mon-Friday)
• Role is Full-Time position.
