vamasters, Inc. is seeking a creative Social Media Video Editor to transform raw phone footage into engaging short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. You will write captions, post on a consistent schedule, and engage with our community through comments and DMs.

You will also help with outreach to local experts and share simple weekly reports. A strong editing portfolio, excellent writing, and a casual, authentic tone for a U.S. audience are essential.

Formación

• Proven editing of short-form video for social media platforms (Reels/TikTok/Shorts).
• Portfolio of short-form video work is required.
• Excellent written English with a casual, conversational tone for a U.S. audience.
• Experience writing captions and managing Instagram and TikTok accounts.
• Experience replying to comments and DMs in a brand voice.
• Able to work remotely with discipline and strong communication.

Job Summary:

Followers on Instagram and TikTok will meet our warm, founder-driven brand through a creative and dependable Social Media Video Editor. You will turn raw phone footage into engaging short-form videos, write captions, post on a consistent schedule, and connect with our community through comments and DMs. You will also support outreach to local experts and share simple weekly reports. A strong editing portfolio, excellent writing skills, and a natural feel for casual, conversational social media make for the ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) from raw phone clips using CapCut or similar tools
• Write engaging captions and publish posts on Instagram and TikTok on a set schedule
• Reply to comments and DMs in line with our brand guidelines
• Contribute content ideas that suit our warm, founder-driven brand voice
• Research and build lists of potential local experts for collaboration
• Send first-touch outreach messages using provided templates
• Prepare simple weekly reports on posts, engagement, and outreach replies

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience editing short-form video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts
• Proficiency in CapCut or similar video editing tools
• A portfolio of short-form video work (required)
• Excellent written English with a natural, casual, conversational tone for a U.S. audience
• Experience writing captions and managing Instagram and TikTok accounts
• Experience replying to comments and DMs in a brand’s voice
• Level-headed, exacting, and productive when working remotely on your own
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with founder-led or personal brands
• Experience with outreach, influencer, or partnership research
• Familiarity with Instagram and TikTok analytics
• Experience with content scheduling tools such as Later, Metricool, or Meta Business Suite
• Basic spreadsheet skills for tracking outreach and reporting
• Able to prioritize across several projects and keep every one on schedule
