Job summary

vamasters, Inc. is seeking a creative Social Media Video Editor to turn raw phone footage into engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

You will write captions, post on a regular schedule, and engage with our community through comments and DMs. You will also support outreach to local experts, share simple weekly reports, and contribute ideas that fit our warm, founder-driven brand voice.

Qualifications

• Portfolio of short-form video work (required).
• Fluent written English with casual tone for a U.S. audience.
• Experience editing for Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts.
• Experience writing captions and managing Instagram/TikTok accounts.
• Ability to respond to comments and DMs in brand voice.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts from raw clips.
• Write captions and publish posts on Instagram and TikTok per schedule.
• Reply to comments and DMs following brand guidelines.
• Contribute content ideas aligned with the brand voice.
• Research local experts for potential collaboration lists.
• Send first-touch outreach messages using provided templates.
• Prepare simple weekly reports on posts, engagement, and outreach.

You will turn raw phone footage into engaging short-form videos, write captions, post on a consistent schedule, and connect with our community through comments and DMs. You will also support outreach to local experts and share simple weekly reports. A strong editing portfolio, excellent writing skills, and a natural feel for casual, conversational social media make for the ideal fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit short-form videos (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) from raw phone clips using CapCut or similar tools


• Write engaging captions and publish posts on Instagram and TikTok on a set schedule


• Reply to comments and DMs in line with our brand guidelines


• Contribute content ideas that fit our warm, founder-driven brand voice


• Research and build lists of potential local experts for collaboration


• Send first-touch outreach messages using provided templates


• Prepare simple weekly reports on posts, engagement, and outreach replies

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience editing short-form video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts


• Proficiency in CapCut or similar video editing tools


• A portfolio of short-form video work (required)
