Job summary

GECO Asia Pte. Ltd is hiring a Snowflake Infrastructure Engineer to configure, deploy, and maintain Snowflake accounts, warehouses, databases, and schemas in a hybrid work setting in the Philippines.

You will optimize performance, manage security controls, IaC with Terraform, support data teams, and participate in backup, disaster recovery strategies, and data integration across sources.

Qualifications

• Must have Snowflake Infrastructure / Snowflake Data Warehouse Administration
• Good to Have Terraform, Databricks
• Experience: 3–5 years or more in Snowflake infrastructure, administration, or data warehouse engineering

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain Snowflake accounts, virtual warehouses, databases, and schemas.
• Provision and manage Snowflake resources and associated cloud infrastructure using Terraform and IaC.
• Monitor warehouse performance, query execution, resource utilization, and credit consumption to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
• Optimize warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume settings, auto-scaling, and query performance.
• Implement and manage security controls, including RBAC, masking policies, row-level security, encryption, and secure data sharing.
• Manage Snowflake releases, account-level configurations, and new platform features.
• Provide technical support for Snowflake users, including query troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain backup, failover, and disaster recovery strategies using Time Travel, Fail-safe, and other Snowflake capabilities.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate Snowflake with external data sources, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Monitor and optimize platform costs, including warehouse credit usage, storage costs, and workload efficiency.
• Work with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.

Work Details

• Work Hours: 45 hours per week

• Shift: Night Shift

• Work Arrangement: Hybrid

• Onsite Requirement: 1 day per week for night shift; 2 days per week for other shifts, subject to discussion based on the current situation
