Job summary

Siemens Mobility invites applications for a Building Automation Systems Project Management Intern in the Summer 2027 program. The internship rotates through smart buildings and sustainable infrastructure, with focus on project management, sales exposure, and service tasks across HVAC, fire/life safety, security, and energy systems.

Starting May–June 2027 for 10 weeks, full-time 40 hours/week, located at the Washington DC area Laurel, MD office.

Qualifications

Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
Skilled in using Windows laptops and adept at learning new software for programming and troubleshooting automation equipment.
Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers.
Demonstrated leadership potential.
Strong analytical, writing, presentation and critical thinking skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish a project delivery plan.
Develop and maintain a project schedule, coordinate needs with the project team, and identify time-sensitive installation needs.
Manage the procurement of supplies and materials to complete projects.
Participate in project cost reviews.
Track labor resources and project progress.
Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
Rotate through other departments to learn branch operations.
