GM Philippines Inc. is offering a hybrid internship role focused on facilities, safety, and site operations.

The student will participate in preventive maintenance, safety program design, and liaison activities with the PMO while reporting to theFacilities Lead. The role requires engineering students (Industrial, Electrical, Civil, Computer or Mechanical) who can work onsite daily and may extend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Engineering students (3rd year or graduating) in Industrial, Electrical, Civil, Computer or Mechanical with internship as part of curriculum.
• Willing to extend internship hours if needed and work onsite daily.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
• Knime/Databricks or similar automation tools; LEAN or Six-Sigma trained preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and confident presentation to leadership.

Responsabilités

• Assist facilities activities: site safety tours, preventive maintenance, liaising with PMO, other tasks by Facilities Lead.
• Contribute to safety and security program design and execution per GM regulations.
• Present project results to GM leadership and participate in organizational engagements.

Work Arrangement:

This role is categorized as hybrid on day shift (9am to 6pm). This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Philippines office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.

What You'll Do

• To help carry out facilities activities, including site safety tours, regular preventive maintenance of equipment, liaising with the building PMO regarding any facilities concerns, and other tasks assigned by the Facilities Lead
• To help in the design and execution of safety and security programs that align with GM's global and local regulatory requirements.
• Present the results of the project to GBS Leadership Lead/participate in GBS-wide and GA-wide engagement activities

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

• Candidates must be graduating/3rd year college students of Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Civil, Computer or Mechanical), with internship as official undergraduate requirement
• Must be willing to extend internship hours if needed and work onsite daily
• Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.); Google Workspace
• KNIME, Databricks or any similar automation tools preferably trained LEAN, Six-sigma trained
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills (i.e. with high confidence to present to top management)
