Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure high availability and reliability of production systems in an onsite Cagayan De Oro setup. You will design automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring, while resolving incidents to minimize downtime and collaborating with development teams to improve system resiliency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering roles.
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with scripting/programming (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, or similar).

Your Role

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will:

Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of production systems and services.

Design and implement automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring.

Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve incidents to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with development teams to improve system design, resilience, and operability.

Implement observability solutions including logging, metrics, and alerting systems.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering roles

Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems administration

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Experience with scripting/programming (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, or similar)

Preferred Skills/expertise

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)

Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

Understanding of incident management, on-call processes, and SLAs/SLOs/SLIs

Experience working in Agile or high-availability production environments
