Job summary

SUMITOMO MITSUI CONSTRUCTION CO. LTD. is seeking a Civil Engineer for the Metro Manila Subway Project CP-103.

The role requires a licensed civil engineer with 3–5 years in construction, capable of reading drawings and applying safety standards on-site. The position is project-based and involves coordinating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. The successful candidate will manage schedules, inspect sites, prepare method statements, and oversee material quantities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with License.
• 3–5 years of experience in construction or related field.
• Ability to read drawings.
• Knowledge of basic safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work Monday–Saturday with occasional Sundays/holidays and shifting schedule.
• Amenable to project-based employment.
• Can start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Finish and architectural works experience.
• Manage and develop construction projects safely, timely, and sustainably.

• Manage, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
• Conduct site inspection and daily photographs
• Prepare documents like method statements, inspection request, non-conformance and others
• Supervise and monitor subcontractor's activity, manpower, equipment and tools
• Prepare weekly, bi-weekly and three months schedule
• Attend inspection with client and consultant
• Calculate quantities of materials to be used at the construction site

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with License
• At least 3-5 years working experience in construction or the same field
• Can read drawings
• Understand the basic safety regulations and apply it for construction site
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Can work from Monday to Saturday (Sunday or Holiday if need) as well as shifting schedule
