Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer is advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in electrical engineering, construction, site supervision, or MEP projects.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the day-to-day electrical construction and installation activities at site.
  • Ensures electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
  • Monitors installation of electrical systems.
  • Coordinates electrical activities with civil, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and other trades.
  • Identifies site constraints and technical issues and coordinates appropriate solutions.
  • Assists the Project Manager/Construction Manager in preparing electrical work schedules.
  • Plans and coordinates the daily and weekly electrical activities.
  • Conducts regular inspections of ongoing electrical works.
  • Prepares electrical progress reports.
  • Maintains the records of materials, equipment, inspections, testing, and site activities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Site Engineer (EE) is responsible for the planning, supervision, coordination, installation, testing, and completion of electrical works at the project site. The role ensures that all electrical activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, project schedules, and quality requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Supervision & Electrical Installation
  • Monitors the day-to-day electrical construction and installation activities at site.

  • Ensures electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.

  • Monitors installation of electrical systems

  • Coordinates electrical activities with civil, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and other trades.

  • Identifies site constraints and technical issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.

Project Planning & Scheduling
  • Assists the Project Manager/Construction Manager in preparing electrical work schedules.

  • Plans and coordinates the daily and weekly electrical activities.

Quality Control & Inspection
  • Ensures electrical installations comply with project quality standards and applicable electrical codes.

  • Conducts regular inspections of ongoing electrical works.

  • Monitors installation quality and identify defects or non-conformities.

  • Maintains inspection records, checklists, test reports, and quality documentation.

Testing
  • Supervise and coordinate testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

  • Verifies installation readiness before energization.

  • Reviews of testing and commissioning reports.

Cost and Variation Control
  • Assists in monitoring electrical work quantities and project costs.

  • Identifies additional works, variations, and potential claims.

  • Prepares supporting documentation for variation orders and change requests.

Progress Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepares electrical progress reports.

  • Maintains the records of materials, equipment, inspections, testing, and site activities.

  • Reports technical issues, delays, risks, and required corrective actions to management.

JOB QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer is advantage.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in electrical engineering, construction, site supervision, or MEP projects.

SKILLS/CORE COMPETENCIES
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, installation methods, testing and commissioning.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, shop drawings, specification, and technical documents.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other relevant engineering software.
