Job summary

ib vogt GmbH is seeking a Site Civil Engineer in Ajuy to oversee all on-site civil construction activities for ground-mounted solar projects, ensuring quality and adherence to drawings, specs, and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site civil construction activities, including foundation work, structures, and land development.
• Ensure construction processes comply with drawings, specs and industry standards.
• Conduct inspections for quality control across civil works.
• Identify, report and resolve non-conformities or defects in construction.
• Coordinate with project managers, design engineers and site professionals.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor and report progress, ensuring schedule and budget adherence.
• Prepare and review work schedules, resource plans and risk assessments.
• Enforce site safety protocols and conduct safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Prepare management reports on progress and challenges; maintain daily records.

Job Description

• Oversee all on-site civil construction activities, including foundation work, structures, and land development.
• Ensure construction processes comply with technical drawings, design specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct inspections to maintain quality control across all civil engineering works.
• Identify, report, and resolve any non-conformities or defects in construction.
• Work closely with project managers, design engineers, and other site professionals.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor and report progress, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing work schedules, resource allocation plans, and risk assessments.
• Enforce site-specific safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory safety requirements.
• Prepare reports for management, summarizing progress, and any challenges encountered. 12. Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, material usage, and equipment logs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Civil Engineer
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in civil engineering roles within the power utilities, renewable energy particularly in ground mounted solar power plant, or large scale construction industry.
• Proficiency in construction methodologies and techniques.
• Familiarity with industry-relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
• Strong understanding of civil engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
• Familiar with MS Project or any project planning software.- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations as needed.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience in ground mounted solar power plant rolling terrain is an added advantage.
• Certification in health and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is an advantage.
• Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) and Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) certifications an added advantage.
• Fluent in English and Ilonggo (local dialect)
