The Site Architect is responsible for supervising architectural works on construction sites, ensuring that projects are executed according to the approved plans, with a strong emphasis on design fidelity, quality, and timeliness. The Site Architect acts as the bridge between the office-based design team and on-site execution teams, providing hands‑on support to subcontractors, foremen, and workers. This role also assists in resolving plan‑related issues, preparing or updating drawings when needed, coordinating with engineering disciplines, and preparing estimates and permit documentation. The Site Architect may also sign and seal architectural drawings.
CoreResponsibilities
1.On-Site Supervision
- Ensure construction work complies withapproved architectural plans and specifications.
- Monitor daily site activities, focusingon workmanship quality and progress accomplishments.
- Support subcontractors and foremen byinterpreting and clarifying architectural plans.
- Identify and help resolve anyinconsistencies between actual site conditions and planned designs.
- Recommend and prepare plan revisions orarchitectural variations when needed to complete works effectively.
2.Design and Planning
- Assist in preparing architectural plansand layouts for new projects.
- Coordinate architectural components withcivil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers to ensure coherentand complete construction drawings.
- Participate in design meetings andprovide practical input based on site execution experience.
- Review and sign architectural drawings asrequired, in compliance with regulatory standards.
3.Permitting and Documentation
- Assist in the preparation and submissionof architectural documents required for permit processing.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies andlocal government units when needed for approvals.
- Maintain organized records of plans,revisions, permits, and related documents.
4. Estimation and Costing
- Prepare architectural estimates forlabor, materials, and equipment based on plans.
- Coordinate with the quantity surveyingand procurement teams to ensure accurate cost projections.
- Review supplier and subcontractorproposals related to architectural scopes.
5. Special Assignments
- Support preparation of as-built drawingsand turnover documentation as needed.
- Assist with design variations and shopdrawings requested by site engineers or clients.
6. Other Duties
- Collaborate closely with projectmanagement, field engineers, and technical support teams to ensure smoothproject delivery.
- Participate in internal and externalproject meetings.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned bythe Office Engineer in line with the Engineering & Operations Department’sobjectives.
