Job summary

Simulator Instructor role at AboitizPower in Mariveles, Bataan, Philippines. You will design and lead simulator training for cadets and plant personnel, applying Ovation Embedded Simulator and engineering principles to improve operator performance.

You will assess operators, provide DCS support, and help grow the cadetship program through collaboration with the Technical Academy and international training initiatives, in a purpose-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required, power plant experience preferred.
• 3+ years teaching Eng subjects in power plants.
• 2+ years in a power plant control room.
• Knowledge of Ovation embedded simulator software.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead simulator training using Ovation and apps.
• Assess Control Room Operators before confirmation.
• Provide DCS technical support and model building.

AsSimulator Instructor, your main purpose will be to provide high-quality simulator training to qualified cadets and plant personnel and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with Technical Academy team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Design & Lead Training:Prepare lesson plans, conduct initial and ongoing simulator training on Ovation Operator and Engineering Applications, and evaluate trainee performance.
• Assess Operators:Perform crucial assessments of Control Room Operators and Assistant Control Room Operators before they are confirmed in their positions.
• Provide DCS Technical Support:Collaborate with plant stakeholders to develop, test, and implement control system logic and build mathematical models using the Ovation Embedded Simulator.
• Drive the Cadetship Program:Assist in developing and teaching overall training plans with international training center programs.

What You Will Need:

• Graduate of any Engineering course, preferably Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering.
• At least three (3) years of experience teaching Engineering subjects, particularly in power plant design and operations.
• At least two (2) years of experience working in a power plant control room.
• With knowledge of coal-fired power plant theories and principles, plant systems, power generation technologies, and Ovation embedded simulator software.
