Job summary

Jobgether in Spain is seeking a QA Engineer for the Shopify Platform with a Monday–Friday EST shift rotation. You will provide QA coverage for storefront, checkout, subscriptions, and third-party integrations, combining production monitoring with structured manual and automated testing.

You will document defects, validate fixes, and participate in release reviews, ensuring issues are raised promptly. Strong ownership and asynchronous communication are essential for this weekday-rotation role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional QA/testing experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem, including Admin, themes, apps, and storefronts.
• Proficiency with Shopify Liquid to read template logic and investigate defects.
• Experience with GitHub, branches, diffs, PRs, and issue tracking.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience writing structured manual test cases and regression testing.
• Excellent written and spoken English for asynchronous bug reports and handoffs.
• Ability to work independently during evening or overnight hours.
• Experience with subscription platforms like Recharge, Skio, or Loop is a plus.
• Exposure to Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Shopify Online Store 2.0 sections and blocks is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live Shopify storefront during assigned shift and identify bugs and regressions.
• Validate deployments, theme updates, and third-party app integrations after releases.
• Execute end-to-end manual and automated regression testing across desktop and mobile.
• Write and maintain structured test cases and perform cross-browser validation (BrowserStack).
• Document defects with clear steps, screenshots, and context in GitHub Issues.
• Collaborate with developers to identify root causes and verify fixes.
• Perform checks of third-party Shopify apps and escalate incidents as needed.
• Prepare shift handoff notes to communicate risks and priorities clearly.
