Job summary

STAFFVIRTUAL, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Lead Shopify Engineer/Architect to consolidate multiple storefronts into one Shopify platform. You will steer migrations, own architecture, and manage a small engineering team and external agencies.

You have 8+ years in ecommerce engineering with strong Shopify Plus experience, experience leading end-to-end migrations (Magento to Shopify), and expertise in NetSuite integrations and AI-assisted coding tools. Remote role, US hours.

Qualifications

Extensive experience with Shopify Plus and multi-brand setups.
UK/EU ecommerce VAT/localization knowledge.
Experience leading migrations (Magento to Shopify) and consolidating storefronts.
Experience in leading engineers and managing external partners.

Responsibilities

Architect and roadmap the base theme and backend on Shopify Markets.
Lead migrations from Magento to Shopify across brands.
Manage development partners; scope, estimate, and track agency work.
Own integrations with NetSuite, Snowflake and GA4 to keep orders, inventory and reporting clean.
Oversee releases, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and budget control.
Build and mentor the engineering team; enable release decisions.
