Job summary

Gingersnaps is seeking a skilled Shopify Developer to build, customize, and maintain our Shopify store. You will work with Marketing and Design to reflect the brand, optimize performance, and ensure a seamless shopping experience.

The role requires 2+ years in Shopify development, proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience with themes, app integrations, SEO, and responsive design. A portfolio of Shopify projects is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Shopify development or e-commerce website management.
• Proficient in Shopify, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Shopify themes, templates, and website features based on business and design requirements.
• Ensure the website is responsive, user-friendly, and consistent across different devices and browsers.
• Set up and maintain product catalogs, including descriptions, images, pricing, and product variants.
• Configure and optimize shopping carts, checkout processes, payment gateways, and other e-commerce functions.
• Integrate Shopify applications and third-party tools for inventory management, customer reviews, email marketing, analytics, and other business requirements.
• Work closely with the Design and Marketing teams to implement brand-consistent website layouts, graphics, and multimedia content.
• Monitor website performance and resolve issues affecting page speed, usability, and overall functionality.
• Apply SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search performance.
• Perform regular system updates, security checks, backups, and basic disaster recovery procedures.
• Conduct website testing and troubleshoot bugs, technical issues, and compatibility concerns.

About the role

About you
