As Operating Shift Supervisor (Unit / Balance of Plant), you will supervise, organize, direct, and control all operating activities associated with the Units and Balance of Plant (BOP) to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient power station operations and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Operating Shift Superintendent, Control Room Operators, Plant Operators, and inter-departmental plant teams to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Supervise control room and field operations, ensuring execution of 24-hour production targets, monitoring plant parameters/alarms, and coordinating dispatch with the Grid Operator and Trader.
Manage safety and operational compliance by performing risk assessments, leading toolbox talks, issuing Permits to Work (PTW), conducting Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and acting as Site Commander during emergencies.
Direct maintenance handovers, routine equipment changeovers, plant/equipment test runs, 500kV/230kV switchgear switching, and maintain chronological logs of shift activities and defects.
Lead, coach, and evaluate shift personnel (Control Room and Plant Operators), conduct job observations, address non-conformances, and coordinate incident investigations and corrective actions.

What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering
Minimum 7 years of experience in the Power Generation Industry, including 3 years as Control Room Operator, 2 years as Plant Operator, and 2 years as Assistant Plant Operator
PRC License (advantageous); basic project management and time management skills
Technical / Functional Skills:
Proficiency in advanced power generation technology, Unit/BOP/MH operations, LV/HV electrical switching (500kV/230kV), Permit to Work (PTW) & LOTO systems, MAXIMO logging, risk assessment/incident investigation, and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
