Responsibilities

• Submit job estimates to Service head and assist with contractor allocation.
• Prepare vehicle repair and painting checklists.
• Perform quality control on repaired and repainted vehicles.
• Estimate costs and completion times; inform customers of services.
• Document repair order changes and explain additional services.
• Coordinate activities to ensure timely and proper repair work.
• Ensure time ticket data is complete for productivity tracking.
• Assist Service Head in planning actions to improve BP operations.

Job Description

This position exists to support the service department in its various functions and targets by handling and attending to customer service requirements, thereby ensuring the attainment and fulfillment of the LausGroup corporate mission and vision.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Submits job estimates to the Service head, and in turn awards jobs to contractors.
2. Prepares a checklist of vehicles for repair and painting.
3. Performs a quality control check on all body-repaired and repainted vehicles.
4. Estimates cost and completion time/settles customer accounts. Suggests additional services that the Service Department offers.
5. Documents repair order changes. Explains the need for additional or unanticipated services and associated costs to the customer.
6. Coordinates activities to ensure repair work is fixed right the first time and completed on time.
7. Makes certain that time ticket information is complete and accurate so that technician productivity can be monitored, customer delays eliminated, and repair services reconciled.
8. Recommends to the Service Head plan of action to constantly improve BP operations.

Core Competencies

1. Preferably a licensed Mechanical Engineer.
