Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting Workday Payroll
• Experience with one or more Workday modules: Payroll, Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Management, Absence Management, Time Tracking, Integration, Security, Data Conversion
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/Kanban SAFe environments and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Configure, enhance, and support Workday Payroll and related HCM modules
• Design and develop integrations between Workday, SAP, and other enterprise systems
• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Support the full SDLC: configuration, testing, deployment, enhancements, production support
• Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
• Monitor payroll processing, integrations, security, interfaces, and data loads
• Develop custom reports, workflows, and automation to improve efficiency
• Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, vendors, and technical teams on enterprise initiatives
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous improvement
• Maintain technical documentation and support procedures
• Drive system optimization and user experience improvements
• Ensure security, governance, and enterprise standards compliance

What You’ll Do

As our Workday Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME), you'll:

• Configure, enhance, and support Workday Payroll and related HCM modules
• Design and develop integrations between Workday, SAP, and third-party enterprise systems
• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Support the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including configuration, testing, deployment, enhancements, and production support
• Troubleshoot complex application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions
• Monitor payroll processing, integrations, security, interfaces, and data loads to ensure system reliability
• Develop custom reports, workflows, and automation to improve operational efficiency
