Job summary

usheru is seeking an experienced WordPress Engineer in the Philippines to deliver new client websites and enhancements for US-based clients. You will work on modern, custom-built WordPress platforms emphasizing performance, SEO, analytics and conversion to drive revenue.

You’ll build on a reusable platform, craft plugins and components, integrate third-party APIs, and help maintain production sites with a focus on quality and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional WordPress development.
• Strong PHP experience.
• Deep understanding of WordPress architecture and best practices.
• Experience building custom themes.
• Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
• Elementor (including custom widgets and extending Elementor where appropriate).
• WP-CLI.
• WordPress security best practices.
• Experience maintaining production WordPress websites.

Responsibilities

• Build custom WordPress websites using Elementor and ACF.
• Design and develop custom WordPress plugins.
• Build reusable components that can be shared across multiple client websites.
• Integrate third-party APIs and booking platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues and client support requests.
• Improve website performance and Core Web Vitals.
• Implement technical SEO best practices.
• Support analytics and experimentation implementations.
• Review code and contribute to engineering standards.
• Help improve our internal WordPress platform and development processes.
