Job summary

Partner company in Spain is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Agentic Search) – Web Rendering Engineer to design and operate rendering infrastructure powering next-generation AI systems. You will transform modern web apps into high-quality structured content for search and real-time reasoning.

You will own rendering infrastructure end-to-end, tackle internet-scale challenges, and collaborate across teams to support agentic search workloads in a small, highly technical environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software engineering in production backend, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in browser rendering and modern web infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of the Chromium rendering pipeline (DOM, Layout, Paint, Compositing).
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript execution, rendering lifecycles, and page readiness mechanisms.
• Experience with headless browser execution, browser instrumentation, and CDP.
• Hands-on with Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architectures/frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte).
• Experience with SSR/CSR/Streaming/SPA/PWA.
• Understanding of resource loading and modern JavaScript bundles.
• Distributed systems design and performance optimization.
• Open-source contributions are a plus.
• Willingness to participate in coding interviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and build large-scale rendering systems at internet scale.
• Develop browser-based infrastructure to execute complex JavaScript and capture rendered content.
• Research frontend rendering across architectures and environments.
• Improve rendering quality, reliability, and performance across websites.
• Optimize infrastructure for cost, latency, and throughput.
• Investigate browser rendering behavior and page readiness.
• Translate research into production-grade systems.
• Handle large-scale infrastructure challenges including caching and multi-region setups.
• Take end-to-end ownership of rendering infrastructure.
• Collaborate to support agentic search and AI workloads.
