Job summary

We are seeking skilled Java developers to design, implement, and maintain server-side applications, build RESTful APIs, and manage databases with MySQL or PostgreSQL. You will also work on frontend basics (HTML/CSS/JS), perform testing, and collaborate using Git in a DevOps environment with Docker and Kubernetes. This full-time role is based in Metro Manila.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and Spring stack including Spring Boot and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating frontend with backend services.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD workflows.
• Testing experience with JUnit/Mockito and practical test-driven development.

What you will be doing:

• Developing Backend Systems: Design, implement, and maintain server‑side applications using Java frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Data/JDBC or JPA/Hibernate.
• Creating APIs: Develop RESTful APIs to enable communication between frontend and backend systems.
• Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and work with database technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Frontend Development: Develop responsive and user‑friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js.
• Testing and Debugging: Write unit tests, perform integration testing, and debug applications to ensure high quality and reliability.
• Version Control: Use version control systems like Git to manage the codebase and collaborate with other team members.
• Deployment and DevOps: Deploy applications to production environments, configure CI/CD pipelines, and work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.

Skills:

• Java and Spring Development: Strong proficiency in Java programming language and knowledge of OOP, core Java concepts, Spring and Spring Boot framework.
• Web Development: Experience with front‑end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Backend Frameworks: Proficiency in one or more Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate.
• API Development: Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Database Management: Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Version Control: Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Testing: Understanding of software testing principles and experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito.
• Deployment and DevOps: Experience with deployment tools, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies.
• Problem‑Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues, debug code, and propose effective solutions.
