Job summary

Balsam International, the Philippine ROHQ, is seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to independently deliver high-quality, user-centric designs for Brand websites. You will own UX/UI priorities, collaborate with product and eCommerce teams, and ensure pixel-perfect interfaces that communicate the brand.

The role is open to independent contractors in Metro Manila, with flexible Upwork-based billing. Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, and CSS is required, along with a strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Web/Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of relevant experience in user interface, product design, web design, or a design-related field
• An online portfolio (please specify which work was created 100% by you vs. by a team)
• Passion for design (typography, color, and grid layouts)
• Knowledge of mobile design standards and familiarity with responsive design best practices
• User-centered approach to design
• Proficient in Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator, with the ability to produce organized files with sensible layer structures and naming
• Competency with HTML and CSS
• Impeccable eye for detail and consistency
• Ability to respond effectively and appropriately to creative feedback and constructive criticism
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design Production: produce high-quality designs per brand guidelines and create icons/assets; provide final UI designs with specs for developers.
• Design Iteration and Collaboration: collaborate with Product Managers & eCommerce to hypothesize, test, and measure product success; deliver user flows, wireframes, comps, and prototypes.
• User-Centered Approach and Consistency: follow style guides, understand goals and constraints, brainstorm visual ideas, manage multiple priorities, and articulate design decisions.
• Other Duties and Responsibilities: perform ad hoc tasks to support team and training activities.
