Job summary

Stefanini North America and APAC seeks an experienced UNIX/Linux Administrator to manage enterprise Linux and UNIX environments in Pasay, Philippines. The role involves system administration, troubleshooting, patching, automation, and production support.

The candidate should have strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux expertise, shell scripting, and collaboration with infra teams. On-site work and on-call incident management are expected.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of UNIX/Linux system administration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience with shell scripting and Linux command-line tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, ticketing systems, and change-control procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain RHEL and UNIX servers.
• Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, sudo access, and authentication services.
• Patch, harden, and remediate vulnerabilities; perform OS upgrades.
• Monitor performance, capacity, availability, and resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot server, OS, network, storage, and application issues.
• Manage filesystems, LVM, NFS, RAID, multipathing, and disk space.
• Configure services such as SSH, DNS, NTP, FTP/SFTP, HTTP, and SMTP.
• Support HA, clustering, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Automate tasks using Shell scripting, Ansible, or Python.
• Review logs and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with application, database, network, security, and infra teams.
• Participate in change management, incident management, and on-call support.
• Maintain documentation and troubleshooting guides.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
