Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH is seeking a Senior Third Party Risk Management Specialist to join our Global Business Services in Manila. You will lead complex risk activities, act as SME, design and enhance TPRM processes, and partner with cross-functional teams to manage escalations and high-priority matters.

You will mentor junior colleagues, ensure adherence to risk appetite, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic, agile Shared Service Center.

Qualifications

• A university degree in Business, Economics, Law, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in compliance or risk management, preferably within a Legal/Compliance Shared Service structure or an in-house Compliance department.
• Strong customer focus and business partnering skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• High learning agility and adaptability to new challenges.
• Proficiency in business English (minimum B2 level); Japanese or Mandarin language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of complex Third-Party Risk Management activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in risk management processes, providing guidance and expertise to team members and stakeholders.
• Drive the development and enhancement of TPRM capabilities, including the design of new processes, tools, and frameworks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact for escalations and high-priority matters.
• Provide second-level advisory support, resolving complex or sensitive issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Take ownership of training and mentoring junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
• Ensure compliance with Boehringer Ingelheim’s risk appetite and exposure guidelines, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.
