Job summary

Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a Senior/Technical Product Owner in Makati to shape the vision and roadmap for platform systems supporting Cambridge Academic products, including Cambridge Core. The role collaborates with business and technical teams to deliver high-value features and platform improvements aligned with product goals.

Hybrid work setup with two days in the office, Monday–Friday 10:00–18:00 Manila time.

Qualifications

• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Strong technical understanding of platform systems, data flows, APIs and backend components.
• Experience in backlog management, roadmaps, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between business and technical teams to deliver high-value platform features.
• Define and manage product roadmaps, priorities, and backlogs for platform components.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, Technical teams and Solution Architects to align delivery with goals.
• Provide clear requirements and acceptance criteria for development teams, including AI-assisted tools usage.
• Maintain documentation and ensure alignment with Cambridge Academic product objectives.

Pay range Php 104,000 to Php 142,000

What will you do as a Senior/Technical Product Owner?

Reporting to the Agile Coach, your accountabilities will include:

• Act as the link between business and technical teams, ensuring the delivery of high-value platform features and improvements.
• Define and manage product roadmaps, priorities, and backlogs for platform components.
• Work with stakeholders, Product Owners, Technical teams and Solution Architects to align delivery with business objectives.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for Academic platform backend components and related data flows.
• Create and maintain clear requirements and acceptance criteria, enabling development teams to effectively use AI-assisted tools while delivering high-quality solutions.

Essential:

• Able to analyse business needs and turn them into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Strong technical understanding of platform systems, data flows, APIs, and backend components.
• Able to manage priorities, roadmaps, backlogs, dependencies, and competing deadlines.
• Strong communicator who can build good relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable in using AI tools and writing clear, well-structured requirements that give development teams the context they need to deliver effectively.

Desirable:

• Experience working with geographically distributed development teams.
• Knowledge of digital publishing or academic platforms.
• Able to suggest creative solutions and support teams as ways of working evolve.
