This role involves legal research, tax planning, preparation of advisory opinions, and coordination with clients and regulators.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Philippine tax law experience, excellent legal writing, and the ability to supervise juniors while handling multiple engagements and deadlines.

Qualifications

• LLB or JD; licensed lawyer in good standing.
• 4–6 years of tax legal practice in law firms or corporate settings.
• Solid knowledge of Philippine tax regulations and precedents.
• Experience with tax assessments, BIR audits, and regulatory representation preferred.
• Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
• Demonstrated client service orientation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal tax advisory memoranda, position papers, and tax documentation.
• Interpret tax laws and court decisions for client scenarios.
• Assist in tax assessments, audit defenses, and regulatory proceedings before BIR/LGU.
• Review contracts from tax and regulatory perspectives.
• Coordinate with clients to gather information and deliver insights timely.
• Supervise junior associates and provide guidance on technical matters.
• Monitor tax legislation and provide internal updates on regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrated client solutions.
